Andreas work explores the world of organic matter, with an emphasis on it’s transient quality. Her work is fuelled by a fascination towards the various dualities within the natural world; life and death, decay and re-birth; movement & stillness; beauty and destruction; strength and fragility; impermanence and longevity. Mans role within the cyclical change of the environment is a pervading theme within her work, particularly her own role as artist-collector-manipulator. Andrea’s work celebrates the imperfect nature of our world as well as it’s inevitable, albeit beautiful, demise. Whilst being based in a quiet village on the island of Mallorca for the time being,  Andrea is using this opportunity to explore more deeply mans relationship with nature and her place as an artist amidst the captivating landscapes she finds herself in.
